Login Issues with Roku, Fire TV (and other devices)

Currently, due to an app requirement set by Roku, the QR code login method is no longer available. To access your Viki account on your device, you will need to log in using your email and password.

Please review the scenarios below and select the one that best matches the issue you’re facing. We’ll guide you through the steps to resolve it.

1. Can’t Log In Using Social Login Method

If you're using a social login method (e.g., Google ID, Facebook ID, Apple ID, Rakuten ID, etc),

  • Apple ID / Apple Private Relay:
      • If your account is linked to your Apple ID or a Apple Private Relay email address, you will need to update your Viki account with a valid email address so that you can login to your devices. Contact us via watch.viki.com/AccountSupport so that we can verify your identity before we can proceed with the next steps to recover your account.
2. Can’t Log In Using Email/Password Login Method

If you’re using email/password login method and can’t access your account, the issue could be one of the following:

I Don’t Know My Login Credentials

If you’re unsure about the email or password associated with your account, please contact us via watch.viki.com/AccountSupport and provide us with the following information so that we can locate your account quickly. 

      • Any other email addresses you own that you might have used to sign up for a Viki account
      • Full Name or Username associated with your account 
Email Mismatch

If you suspect the email you’re using is incorrect or does not match the one linked to your account, please contact us via watch.viki.com/AccountSupport and provide us with the following information so that we can locate your account quickly.

      • Any other email addresses you own that you might have used to sign up for a Viki account
      • Full Name or Username associated with your account
No Access to Old Email

If you no longer have access to the email linked to your account:

If none of these apply, try resetting your password by visiting going to viki.com/forgot_password

3. Aren’t Receiving Password Reset Emails

There could be several reasons why you are experiencing this,

  • Social Login Method Users: If your account is tied to a social login, you’ll need to set up an email/password login to receive password reset emails. For more information on how to do this, please refer to the FAQ here watch.viki.com/emailchange 

  • Incorrect Email Address: If the email associated with your account is incorrect or outdated, please contact us via watch.viki.com/AccountSupport and provide us with the following information so that we can locate your account quickly. 
      • Any other email addresses you own that you might have used to sign up for a Viki account
      • Full Name or Username associated with your account

  • Email Not Received: Check your spam or junk folder. If it’s not there, ensure emails from support@viki.com are not blocked.
4. Can’t Log In Using QR Code on Roku Device

At this time, due to Roku's app requirements, only email and password login is available to access your Viki account on your device. If you'd like, feedback on this can be given to Roku here.

If you’re unable to log in using the QR/Alphanumeric code to log into your Roku device, for now, please use your email and password to access your account on Roku.

      • If you have not set email/password login method, please update your email address via a computer web browser here watch.viki.com/account

      • Verify your account by checking your email inbox for a verification email.
      • Reset your password here viki.com/forgot_password to access your account
      • Use your email/ password to log in on your Roku device
5. Can’t Log In Using Email and Password on Amazon Fire TV Device

If you’re unable to log in using the email and password login method to log into your Amazon Fire TV device, for now, please use Alphanumerical Code login method. To do this, please follow the directions below:

    • From the Fire TV Viki app, select Sign in to continue. An alphanumeric code will appear on the Sign in page. 
    • Use your phone camera or any QR reader app to scan the QR code on your mobile device.
    • Scanning the QR code will launch the Viki mobile app or viki.com/firetv on your mobile web browser. You will be asked to log in on your Viki mobile app or browser if you haven't already done so.
