How Do I Find My Private Relay Apple ID Email Address?

What is a Private Relay Apple ID Email Address?

If you used your Apple ID to login to Viki, it may have created a Viki account using your Private Relay Apple ID (or "Hide My Email" encrypted email address in the form of abcde12345@privaterelay.appleid.com). 

If you are not sure what your Private Relay Apple ID is linked to your Viki account, or what email is linked to this encrypted email address, please follow the steps below to find out.

Where Can I Find My Private Relay Apple ID Email Address?

From your iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Settings app

  2. Tap your name to view your Apple ID settings

  3. Tap on iCloud
  4. Tap on Hide My Email

  5.  Tap on Viki

  6.  The Private Relay Apple ID Email will be displayed under the Hide My Email section

  7.  Below this section, you can confirm the email address where the Private Relay Apple ID Emails are being forwarded to. Make sure that the toggle button is switched ON if you want to get these emails forwarded to your email address.

  If you no longer want to link the Viki app to a Private Relay Apple ID email address, please follow the steps provided below.
How Do I Change My Private Relay Apple Login Email?

At the moment, there is no way to change your email address using the mobile app. Please use a web browser to make the changes. 

On a web browser:

    1. Login with the Private Relay Apple ID Email login email (that you have found from the steps above) and password.

    2. If you did not set up a password, please reset password here. This will trigger a link to your email so you may set a password for login.

    3. Log in with the same Private Relay Apple ID Email and your new password created.
    4. Go to your Subscription & Settings page.
    5. Under Account > Basic Information > next to your email address, click on Change

    6. Enter your new preferred email address and re-enter it to confirm it once again.
    7. Click on Change email

    8. A 6-digit OTP code should be sent to your email to authenticate your email change.

    9. Once you punch in the correct 6 digit code, your email should successfully have updated. 

  If you cannot change to a new email address, likely, the email address is already in use on Viki. Please try again with another email address.

How Do I Unlink My Private Relay Apple ID Email from Viki?

From your iPhone or iPad

  1. Open your Settings app
  2. Tap your name to view your Apple ID settings

  3. Tap on iCloud 
  4. Tap on Hide My Email

  5.  Tap on Viki 
  6.  Tap on Manage settings

  7. Find and tap on Viki from the list of Apps Using Apple ID

  8. Tap on Stop using Apple ID

  If you wish to continue to access your Viki account, before unlinking your Apple ID, make sure you have updated your Viki account email address and password so that you do not lose access.
