How Do I Watch Viki on LG TV?

You can now control access to age-restricted content on the LG TV app by setting up a 4-digit PIN.

  How do I install the Viki app on LG TV?

Follow the steps below to install the Viki app on your LG TV:

  1.   Press the Home/Smart button on your remote control to bring up the launcher bar.
  2.   Select More Apps near the bottom-right corner.
  3.   Open the LG Content Store App.
  4.   Choose Premium from the menu on the right.
  5.   Find Viki in the LG Content Store and click Install.
  How do I create a Viki account on LG TV?
At the moment, you won’t be able to create a Viki account on the Viki app directly. Scan the QR code or go to viki.com to create a Viki account using your email address, Google, Rakuten, Facebook or Apple account. Learn how to do this here.

How do I log in to my account on the Viki app on LG TV?
  Note : A subscription is needed in order to log in to the Viki app on your LG TV. Select a subscription plan or sign up for the 7-day free trial. Learn how to do this here. After subscribing, reopen the Viki app on your LG TV and log in.

There are 2 ways to log in to the Viki app on your LG TV:

Log in using the QR code:

  1.   From the launch page of the Viki app, select Log in.
  2.   Scan the QR code using your phone camera or a QR reader app.

  3.   Scanning the QR code will launch the Viki app on your phone or lead you to viki.com/lgtv on your mobile web browser. You will be prompted to log in if you haven’t already done so.
  4.   If you are already logged in, scanning the QR code will complete the linking of your account to the LG TV after a few seconds.

Log in using the alphanumeric code:

  1.   From the launch page of the Viki app, select Log in.
  2.   From any computer or mobile device web browser, visit viki.com/lgtv. Make sure you’re logged in to the correct account and enter the code you see on your LG TV.

  3.   Once you submit the code, the app will start and you will log in.
  How do I set a PIN code for age-restricted content?

Logging in to the Viki app on your LG TV, will now require you to set a 4-digit PIN code to access shows on Viki that has an 18 or above age rating. This will occur every time you log into your Viki account.

How to set your 4-digit PIN:

  1.   Log in to your Viki account.
  2.   Key in a 4-digit numerical PIN code of your choice (this can changed every time you log in).

  3.   Confirm your 4-digit PIN code.
  4.   Once set, you will need to use this PIN code every time you would like to view an 18 or above rating show on Viki on LG TV.

How to reset pin:

  1.   Log out of your Viki account.
  2.   Log back into your Viki account.
  3.   Set 4-digit PIN code.
  4.   Confirm PIN code.
   Note : The 4-digit PIN code will be the same as long as you remain logged in to your Viki account. However, once logged out, you will be required to set and confirm this pin code again.
  How do I change my subtitle settings?

How do I turn subtitles on/off?

Follow the steps below to turn on/off the subtitles and to set the subtitles language:

  1. On the video player page, select the subtitle icon.
  2. Select Language and choose your preferred subtitle language from the list of available subtitles to turn the subtitles on.
  3. Select OFF to turn off subtitles.

How do I change the appearance of the subtitles?

  1. On the video player page, select the subtitle icon.
  2. Slide right to Text Size to change the font size of your subtitles.
  3. Slide further right to Style to change the subtitle font to your preference.

  Note : When subtitles for a video don’t appear or are incomplete, the community has not finished with the subtitling yet. You can check if a video has been completely subtitled by referring to the subtitle completion percentage at the bottom of the video thumbnail.
  Basic Troubleshooting
Follow the troubleshooting steps below when you encounter issues with the Viki app on your LG TV.
  1. Log out from your Viki account. You can do this by going to Settings from the side menu bar on the main home page. Scroll down and select Logout.
  2. Uninstall the Viki app. Learn how to do this here
  3. Re-install the Viki app from the LG Content Store app. Learn how to do this here
  4. Turn your LG TV off and on. 
  5. For video playback issues, please reboot your internet connection.
  6. Open the Viki app and log back into your account by following the steps here
