How Do I Create a Viki Account?

To sign up for a Viki account, you will need to:

  • Accept Viki's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
  • Meet the minimum legal requirement of 18 years of age and above the age of majority in your home country.

Once you have created an account, please make sure to verify your email address.

How to Log In to Your Account on a Mobile Browser

1.  Go to Viki.com on your mobile browser.

2.  Tap the "Sign In" or profile icon.

3.  Choose your login method:

    *   Email/Password: Enter your email and password.

    *   Facebook: Log in with your Facebook account.

    *   Google: Select your Google account or enter your Google credentials.

    *   Rakuten ID: Log in with your Rakuten credentials.

    *   Apple ID: Log in with your Apple ID (or create an account if it's your first time).

How to Start Watching Trailers/Episodes on a Mobile Browser

1.  After signing in, browse or search for the show you want to watch.

2.  Click on the trailer or episode.

3.  Use the video player controls to:

    *   Play/Pause

    *   Fast Forward/Rewind

    *   Select Subtitles Language

    *   Turn Subtitles On/Off

Setting a PIN for Age-Restricted Content (Optional)

PIN access for age-restricted shows is now optional. Follow the steps below if you'd like to enable it to limit access to certain shows.

1.  Go to Account Settings. Under Settings, next to No content restrictions set, click on Change.

2.  Before you enable Content Restrictions, you will be prompted to enter an OTP Code. Enter the OTP Code that is sent to the email address linked to your Viki account.

3.  Toggle the button from left to right to set Content Restrictions.

4.  Under Restricted content ratings, select the content rating you wish to restrict. The selected restriction will apply across devices.

5.  Create a 4-digit PIN and click Save settings to save your settings. Once saved, all content with the selected rating and above will require the user to enter their PIN before it can be played.

Under Account Settings > Settings > Content Restrictions, you will also be able to check what Content Restrictions you have set your account to.

How to Change Subtitle Settings

How to Turn Subtitles On/Off

1.  On the video player page, select the subtitle icon.

2.  Select Language and choose your preferred subtitle language from the list of available subtitles to turn the subtitles on.

3.  Select OFF to turn off subtitles.

How to Change the Appearance of Subtitles

1.  On the video player page, select the subtitle icon.

2.  Slide right to Text Size to change the font size of your subtitles.

3.  Slide further right to Style to change the subtitle font to your preference.

When subtitles for a video don’t appear or are incomplete, the community has not finished with the subtitling yet. You can check if a video has been completely subtitled by referring to the subtitle completion percentage at the bottom of the video thumbnail.

Basic Troubleshooting

If you experience issues while watching on your mobile browser, try these steps:

1.  Log out of your Viki account.
