What is Offline Viewing?
Offline Viewing lets eligible users download DRM-supported videos when connected to the internet and watch them later in the app even without a network connection.
This feature is:
- Available to:
- Viki Pass Plus subscribers
- Users who have purchased rental titles
- Supported on:
- Android app version 9.0+
- iOS app version 15.0+
How do I find and download the title I want?
- Search for or tap on the title you want to watch.
- If the title shows the download icon
, it is available for download.
- You can download multiple videos at the same time.
- However, there is currently no option to download an entire series with a single button.
Some titles may not be available for download.
How many devices can I download content on?
Offline Viewing is currently limited to one (1) authorized mobile device per user account.
Where do I find my downloaded content?
You can view and watch your downloaded content in the Download tab at the bottom of the app.
Do downloaded titles come with subtitles?
Yes. Downloaded titles include subtitles based on:
- The current subtitle completion percentage
- Your selected default subtitle language
If subtitles are updated later, you will need to re-download the episode to see the latest subtitles.
Will my downloaded titles expire?
Yes, downloaded titles are only available for a limited time.
For rental titles:
- The rental period begins when the show is downloaded to your device or when you start playback, whichever happens first.
After your downloads expire:
- For non-rental titles, you will need to re-download the title.
- For rental titles, you will need to purchase the title again.
In some situations, Viki may also remove downloaded content from your device.
