Rentals - How do I rent shows? – Help Center

This article contains information on how you can rent a show on Viki.

If a title is available for rental, you will see either one of these buttons on the title's page:

A one-time payment is needed to rent the show.

You may choose to rent with a one-time payment or subscribe to a Viki Pass subscription that would include access to the title.

Note: prices shown on the buttons will vary depending on the content and currency.

Renting your show

To bring you the best and safest experience, Viki will need to verify your email account before you can rent a show. You can refer to this article to learn how to verify your email.

You can rent a show via any of the options listed here:

Viki.com

Using a web or mobile browser, log into your account on Viki.com and go to the title page that you would like to rent.
Click on the 'Rent' or 'Watch from'* button.
*Refer to the top of this article for an explanation of the two buttons. For Viki Pass subscriptions, complete your purchase with the steps listed in this article.
If you have chosen to rent, select and input your Payment Method.
Review the rental details and click on 'Confirm Rental'.
After your payment has been successfully processed, you will see a confirmation screen.
Select 'Start watching' to start watching immediately or 'Return to show page' to watch your rental later. For more details on when your rental will expire, please refer to this article.

Mobile (iOS/Android)

Note: Your rental/subscription will be made via Apple (iOS devices) or Google Play Store (Android devices) and billed to the payment method set on your respective accounts there.

While logged into your account on the Viki app, go to the title page that you would like to rent.
Tap on the 'Rent' or 'Watch from'* button.
*Refer to the top of this article for an explanation of the two buttons. For Viki Pass subscriptions, complete your purchase with the steps listed in this article.
Review and confirm the in-app purchase on the Apple/Google Play pop-up shown.
If you have chosen to rent, you will see a confirmation screen and the options to 'Close' or 'Start Rental' after your payment has been successfully processed.
Select 'Start Rental' to start watching immediately or 'Close' to watch your rental later. For more details on when your rental will expire, please refer to this article.

Apple TV

Note: Your rental/subscription will be made via Apple and billed to the payment method set on your Apple ID. To manage your Apple ID billing details, please refer to the steps listed here.

While logged into your account on the Viki app, go to the title page that you would like to rent.
Click on the 'Rent' or 'From'* button.
*If you see a 'From' button, you may choose to rent with a one-time payment or subscribe to a Viki Pass subscription that would include access to this title.
Review and confirm the in-app purchase on the Apple pop-up shown.
If you have chosen to rent, you will see a confirmation screen and the options' Start rental' or 'Back to show page' after your payment has been successfully processed.
Select 'Start Rental' to start watching immediately or 'Back to show page' to watch your rental later. For more details on when your rental will expire, please refer to this article.

Android TV

Note: Your rental/subscription will be made via Google Play and billed to the payment method set on your Google Play account. To manage your Google Play billing details, please refer to the steps listed here.

While logged into your account on the Viki app, go to the title page that you would like to rent.

Review and confirm the in-app purchase on the Google Play page shown.
If you have chosen to rent, you will see a confirmation screen and the options to 'Start rental' or 'Back to show page' after your payment has been successfully processed.

Roku

Note: Your rental/subscription will be made via Roku Channel Store and billed to the payment method set on your Roku Pay account. To manage your Roku billing details, please refer to the steps listed here.

While logged into your account on the Viki app, go to the title page that you would like to rent.
Click on the 'Rent' or 'Watch from'* button.

Review Roku's request for information page shown and click on 'Continue'.
Review and confirm the purchase on the Roku Pay page shown.
If you have chosen to rent, you will see a confirmation screen and the options to 'Start rental' or 'Back to show page' after your payment has been successfully processed.
