Android TV box on TV

Hi, Two years ago, s2barbie had the same issue I have had in the last six months. My old H96 Pro box worked well with the old version it was running and I could not update as the OS was too old. My mistake was getting a new Box with faster and later Android OS 9+ so I could install the newer version.

That turned out to be the biggest mistake as now all I get is this version is not compatible. I understand from the two year old reply that there is a difference between mobile and tv android, but it should be sorted by now, surely?

I watch now, mostly on my laptop, but it would be better if like IQIYI Rakuten VIKI, could work from an Android box without all the issues. I did try to launch from my Android Firefox browser and all it would do is refer to the android version, which immediately failed, or later said it was not compatible.

So, as you can see it would sometimes install, then fail and other times just not at all. Not even consistent in that respect. I have been a continuous subscriber for almost five years and not considering a change, so how about some service towards this issue, please?

I do not want to go down the Chromecast path as when I use that I lose the English subs and whilst I understand some Chinese, I am not fluent in the language and certainly cannot read it!

    There are also 2 other possible reasons why you might not be able to install the app on your device:

    1. Your device is currently not certified by Google. For more information on whether your device is certified, please visit: https://www.android.com/certified/partners/

    2. Your device is rooted and/or does not support DRM playback. You can check if your device supports DRM playback by downloading this app. Please screenshot the results and send them to us when replying to this email.

    As for Chromecast, we glad to say that the subtitle issue has been fixed so you should be able to see english subtitles while casting again.
