Concerned Viki viewer and supporter!

Update: I watched “I am not a Robot” drama a few weeks ago and reviewed it. I since paid for a Viki Pass basic because i was tired of the ads and wanted to support this app. Now it saying this drama is Viki Pass Plus only??? Are ya’ll scamming? It’s weird, are you all trying to up-sale people. This has happened more than once over the last day, I begin a show all episodes available, then I leave and come back and it says Viki Pass Plus. I hope this is because of the technical glitch you all are having.

    Hi all,

    We've recently made changes to our content lineup. Starting on August 6th, 2020, the Kocowa catalog of shows as well as selected Viki shows will require either a Viki Pass Standard or Plus subscription to access. 

    We attempted to contact users who were currently watching these shows over email to let them know about the change, however, we discovered that our email did not reach you due to a glitch in our system. We sincerely apologize for this error and are working hard to ensure this does not occur again.

  • Send in a report. This seems to be a issue occurring. I have had the same issue. I was watching something that was perfectly fine with my regular viki pass standard yesterday, but today there is a issue that it says it is viki pass plus only for the entire show.

  • I'm also a standard pass user and found this problem. Not just with "I am not a robot", which was what I was currently watching, but a lot of other old shows as well. "To all the other guys who loved me" and "undateables" are both older shows that shouldn't be on this list, but they are now.

  • Ok so if you go to your profile pic and drop down the arrow next to it in the top right corner, you should see, Help, if you go there you should be able to submit a request.

  • I have noticed for the Viki Pass Plus is usually brand new shows that are just airing. So older shows and shows that are done should not be on the list tbh.

  • We have this problem also. It is not just new shows. Ones like Pinnocchio, Healer, Hwarang etc which are from 2014, 2016 time frame.

  • @arnsmth_687 I see, I hope the people who can fix the problem views this post chain and correct the issue. I’m happy to support with my money but I’m not going to upgrade at all because I feel like I’ve been cheated. These shows were free to watch with ads and now since paying i’m being asked to pay even more a week later to watch the same exact shows that were free to begin with.

  • Yup. That's the way it works. We had just talked the day before about upgrading to plus. Now we are actively looking at Kocowa and others and are going to cancel.
