[Closed] Ad blocker issues

Was told to disable ad blocker in order to continue watching. I did that, and the same "disable ad blocker or get Viki Pass" screen kept popping up! No matter what I tried, the same screen came on. Now I can't watch anything. Really frustrating.

    If you notice that the adblock message still appears after you have disabled your adblock or whitelisted Viki, it is likely that something else on your computer or network is still causing the detection to fail.

  • I am having the same issue also. I didn't have the adblocker on to begin with, but I'm experiencing the same problem.

    I have completed the following suggestions found in other, similar, threads:

    1. Log out from your account
    2. Clear your browser cache and cookies How do I clear the cache and cookies on my web browser?
    3. Close your current window, then launch a new window
    4. Log in to your Viki account
    5. Follow the steps here to ensure that you do not have adblock installed
    6. If you are using Firefox, disable your Enhanced Tracking Protection feature for Viki.com
    7. Try again from another browser

     

    Are you still experiencing these issues? If so, could you please share the following information?

    • Browser version and operating system. Click here to see all related information — you will get a link with all the information we need. Please share this link with us.

    I have also tried Firefox and Microsoft Explorer, and have the same problem.

    Chrome 81 on Windows 7.

    • Does the adblock error message appear on all the videos you watch? If not, please let us know the specific title + episode number.

    YES! The adblock error message appears on all the videos I watch. It appears at the beginning (with a 20 second timer countdown) and again, about 9 minutes in.

     

    • A screenshot / photo of your browser settings, which shows that there are no adblock extensions installed.
