[Closed] Ad Blocker

Recently while I was watching a drama in the middle of me watching it something came up on the screen and said "To continue watching (the name of the drama), turn off your ad blocker, or subscribe to Viki Pass to watch without ads.

The problem is that I don't have Ad Blocker on my laptop so I don't really know what I should do now. I also can't subscribe to Viki Pass so please don't suggest that.

    To make sure this is not a browser issue can you please try the following?

    1. Log out from your account
    2. Clear your browser cache and cookies How do I clear the cache and cookies on my web browser?
    3. Close your current window, then launch a new window
    4. Log in to your Viki account
    5. Follow the steps here to ensure that you do not have adblock installed
    6. If you are using Firefox, disable your Enhanced Tracking Protection feature for Viki.com
    7. Try again from another browser

    Are you still experiencing these issues? If so, could you please share the following information?

    • Browser version and operating system. Click here to see all related information — you will get a link with all the information we need. Please share this link with us.
    • Does the adblock error message appear on all the videos you watch? If not, please let us know the specific title + episode number.
    • A screenshot / photo of your browser settings, which shows that there are no adblock extensions installed.

  • I actually have a similar problem. I have adblock but Viki is whitelisted from it, no other extensions on my Chrome browser, but every time I try to watch any videos it will give me the same message after I'm like 10 min in, it will refuse playing anything even after I click on the "I have turned off my ad blocker" option.

  • Hi, I also have the same problem.

    I even re-installed Firefox to try if it would solve the problem (I normally use Chrome - with adblock, but Viki is whitelisted), but still no luck.
