Can’t unfollow legacy followed shows on viki app or viki.com

  Hi bella5_9,

  You can only follow an On-air or Coming Soon title for notifications when new episodes are released. If you are using the mobile app, the follow button will appear only AFTER adding the titles to the Watchlist. You can refer to the instructions listed on this article.

  For a simpler option to remove your existing followed shows, do follow the below steps while logged into your account on a web browser (not the app):

  1. Go to Viki.com and log in
  2. Click on your profile icon at the top right corner
  3. Select 'Following'
  4. Click on the three dots icon under each title's thumbnail to see the option to Unfollow

  Which shows would you like to unfollow? What made you try to unfollow these shows?

  I have the same problem where I am not able to unfollow shows/remove them from my Followed Shows list. Shows which I have marked “follow” when that button was still there. One of the support people said I would have to add them to Watchlist and then a “bell” would show and I can click it to add it to Followed Shows list and then remove it later on but that is not true for all shows. I don’t use Watchlist or Collection pages. I am not able to add or remove even using app, iPad or TV version of viki. Please have IT look into this and provide a solution. Thank you!

  The steps outlined here do not work. There is no Unfollow option as described for shows that are no longer releasing new episodes. The bell is missing and no unfollow option appears from the followed shows page under the three dots. We need to be able to remove shows from this list.

  Hi scolanduno_921,

  It's possible that your browser's cache might be causing the issue. Do try the following first:

  1. Log out from your account on Viki.com 
  2. Clear your browser cache and cookies How do I clear the cache and cookies on my web browser?
  3. Close your current window, then launch a new window
  4. Log in to your Viki account
  5. Try again from another browser type

  The 'unfollow' button should appear once your browser's cache is refreshed but do let us know if you're still seeing the same issue after.
