[Closed] The same with the browser update on tv Samsung

Viki was working just fine until yesterday. What did I do wrong? My browser needs upgraded. But it worked just fine. Why now? What changed?

    Hi there,

    Thank you for writing in to Viki Support.

    As of 1 May 2018, the official Viki app on the Samsung App Store is no longer available. Any other Samsung Store apps with the 'Viki' name are not supported by us and you will not be able to stream videos there.Also, Viki doesn't support TV Browsers in streaming the show.

    Instead, we can recommend other options to watch Viki from your TV, such as Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV, or using an HDMI cable.

    For more information, you can refer to viki.com/apps for a list of TVs and devices that we do provide full support towards.

  • In another post they basically said that "These web browsers do not provide the same video watching experience and are more likely to cause playback and video loading issues." Even though we didn't care about those details as long as we could use our tv. Now they want us to buy a chomecast or similar to been able to watch dramas in a bigger screen.

  • I think a high percentage of people uses Samsung devices, I have changed my old TV in wich I had to use a cable HDMI for my Samsung TV in wich I didn't have to use a cable becouse that way was easier and I didn't have to connect my computer (in wich I have to work). I never had problems with the quality of the video while I have been using Viki ( More than 5 years). Also I think most of us are paying for the app so it will be nice of you if you go back to the conditions we have with Samsung devices( My computer, TV, tablet and cellphone are Samsung, LOL)...I think you have to make an effort to improve this situation...
