[Solved] Roku app - episodes close randomly and or refuse to load
I have Viki Pass Plus, and have rarely had issues on the Roku app. However, today while watching an episode, the player closed randomly midway. Tried to restart the episode, it began to load then immediately crashed again. Same with anything else I try to load. Everything seems to work on my Android app. Also tried deleting and reinstalling the app to no avail.

Hey guys,
Sorry for the frustrating experience with loading videos on the Roku app earlier.
We've just released a fix for the issue and videos should now be able to load again.
Please restart the Viki app and try playing the videos.
If you're still experiencing problems, do let me know!
Cheers,
Kristie
I think this is happening to me also. I have been watching Innocent Man for over a week (I think) I'm about halfway and I've watched it all on Roku app on the tv. Now today every time I try to load the episode I'm on, also with a few other dramas (but not all) it shows a partial load bar then goes back to the main screen for that drama. It does that with all episodes of Innocent Man (which I was watching just yesterday) and Kimcheed Radish but not other dramas. It plays online. I don't see anything online showing it's not available for my region or anything. I don't see anything that's changed except it keeps crashing. Can anyone help with a solution. I guess I'll try resetting Roku device but I'm not hopeful that would fix it since other stuff plays just fine. My account is up to date.
I am also having this problem. Have deleted the app and reinstalled also to no avail. Isthere no where to contact VIKI to report a problem?
Same. I just reset Roku, re-linked it with a new code, re-linked Viki and it's still kicking me off watching episodes of The Innocent Man. I tried loading one I haven't watched yet (same series) and it actually started playing. But I don't really want to skip parts I haven't seen. When I went back to do that it again it wouldn't load even the new ones.. It does play the very first seconds. I tried FF and that didn't help.
It's not my account because it DID play the one episode until I paused and exited. It can't be that the content is not allowed in this area also because it does sometimes start playing.
Hopefully it gets sorted soon. At least I know I'm not alone.
You can submit a ticket/let them know of the problem directly. I did it before. Let me check if I can find how. Then they will email you about your specific problem. Last time they fixed whatever was wrong really quickly I have to say and emailed me promptly.
Just go to the top of this page and choose submit a request and then chose web and tv apps and then it gives you places to explain what's happening. I'll try that myself in a little while if it's still happening.
I just submitted this request (Submit a Request link, at top of page): "This just started happening: the Viki app on our Roku is not working. We tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, logging out/logging back in on the app, and restarting the Roku. NONE of these help. The episode (on ANY drama) loads and begins for a few seconds, but then kicks back to the Viki home page. We recently upgraded to Viki Pass Plus. WE SHOULD BE RECEIVING BETTER SERVICE, NOT WORSE. Will you be crediting all of us for this prolonged service interruption? This is bad. We were right in the middle of several currently airing dramas, over our limited holiday vacation from our jobs. Thank you."
This is working for me now. For several hours. Thanks very much for fixing it so quickly.
