[Solved] Continue watching not updating

I noticed about 2 days ago that my continue watching was not updating and it’s doing this on all of my devices. I have logged out and back in and I’ve even deleted the apps and redownloaded them. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

  • I have also been having the same issues. I see that this has been going on for a while and I just updated a couple of days ago. I hope this gets solved quickly because it is hard to keep up with everything I watch on here especially when Im paying for the full subscription.

  • This issue with watch history not saving has been going on for awhile now. Can viki please do something about it? I have been experiencing this problem for about 5 days now.

  • I am having the same issue as well. I have gone through and deleted my watch history and everything else that I could think of and unfortunately, nothing worked. This issue was reported 3 weeks ago and it seems that the problem is growing.

  • I have the same issue too. It was only for certain shows at first, and now it is anything I watch.

  • Having the same issue. It has been like this for at least three weeks. This needs to be fix ASAP. It's frustrating knowing that a lot of users are going through the same thing and this problem haven't been fixed. Please Viki do something about it.

  • Viki, what are MILLIONS of people paying for premium subscriptions for? This would be completely unacceptable with any other streaming service BECAUSE IT IS UNACCEPTABLE. It’s also infuriating. FIX IT.

  • Remembering where a customer left off watching is about as basic and fundamental as it gets for a streaming service. It’s insane this has gone on this long. “Continue watching” is literally the bread & butter of streaming. Get it together.

  • Update: Personally on my end the continue watching hasn't gotten fixed it still not updating the fact that I watched a show. However, if I click on the show I'm watching the episode did save the viewing history which was also messed up previously along side the whole continue watching not updating. At least there is one good news if anyone else is struggling with that issue as well.

  • Just to update on here, on my end the continue watching as finally worked and saved my progress. So hopefully they are working to fix it for everyone.

  • I just saw the two drama's I watched yesterday updated to the current episode I watched.  The other ones from a few days ago still are not updated but at least it seems to be fixed for the one's yesterday.  Hopefully it is fixed and as I watch them it will update them to be where I am :)

  • On Thursday two of my drama's the history had updated that I had watched.  Then I watched the next episodes and another drama and it is back to not updating again.   It removed the one update that it had done on Thursday :( .

  • Is VIKI going out of business? 
    Over a month and your service is basically worthless. 
    Won't be renewing.  There are other services that actually work.

  • In addition to not keeping my progress and not showing in continued watching, now my watchlist has reverted back to months ago and has deleted the current shows I’m watching or wanted to watch! WHAT in the world is going on!?!

  • It's now going on a month that "continue watching" has not updated for me - both devices. If this problem was acknowledged 30 days ago, exactly WHEN is it getting fixed? This should have been resolved within the first week. It feels like nothing is being done and all these complaints are being ignored. I hope that's not the case or I'll rethink my next renewal.

  • I began having this issue two days ago. Signing out and back in doesn't work. It doesn't matter what device I'm using the drama I am watching will not appear in my continue watching (I have tried the app on both my TV and phone, and also my desktop and it hasn't worked).

  • Doesn't work for me either, i have to keep track of everything on my own so i know from which point to continue watching, it's annoying :/

  • I was going to wait to post my concerns because it seems like others are also having the same issue, but I've been dealing with my continue watching not updating for a couple of weeks now which is inconvenient. What I have noticed though is that the ONLY show that will save my progress is for a show that I'm rewatching which makes no sense.

  • I am having the same problem as of today and this has been happening for quite some time. I am watching on the web and nothing is being saved. I would sometimes forget which episode I am on and when I try to go back the episode I already watched for 40+ minutes says I did not watch that episode yet which I already did. ETA of this bug being fixed? This is happening on the app as well.

  • Ongoing for over a month for many. It's sad I'm having to write down which show and episode before logging out just to be abe to keep up with them. I usually watch 3 or 4 shows at a time so this is getting tiresome.
