Better search engine

When I use a search term such as BL, I expect I would get a complete listing.  Instead, only the most current popular shows seem to get listed.  I have serendipitously come across several excellent shows, but it's not from your search engine. It makes me wonder how much more content I'm not finding/enjoying.
