[Closed] Subtitles not showing on Roku

My subtitles stopped showing on Roku even after 100% translated and closed caption on. Anyone else having issues?

  • Go to Accessibility and see if you can scroll down to a second English choice in Languages. Choosing the other English fixed it for me last night!

  • No second choice for English on mine. Any other suggestions?

  • I was watching Advance Bravely. There were subtitles up through ep 4. When I continued there were all of a sudden no subtitles even though it states that it is 100% complete. No episodes after 4 were subtitled, but as mentioned earlier, earlier releases of other shows were fine. I have a Samsung TV and a Roku. Just started a couple of days ago.

  • Okay. Elaboration on the previous post below. Click the options (* or star) button on your Roku remote. Scroll down to Accessibility and Captions. If you clik the English option, you'll see English listed twice. In fact, the box will say "1 of 2" and your selection is probably 1. Select the other English. That fixed it for me. Thanks, JunkyStuff!

  • This solution presented here worked for me, but I will mention you actually have to be in the show befor pressing the * key or you don’t get the second English option.
