Have to agree I miss making comments on individual episodes. I just got done watching an episode and wanted to see if anyone else felt the same as I did but with the new viewer it is gone.
It feels lonely, the player option now is too big for a laptop it seems. To at least get the subtitles and picture to watch comfortably, I also need to turn of the comments. Since there is just too much going on at the left upper half.
Me too. I miss the old episode pages. And the waterfall comments. Everything that was great about Viki has gone! :(
I saw an admin response on the community page that said the threads that get the most up-votes in the ideas forum (here) are the ones the company looks at. So every time you see someone who wants the same features you want (ditch new player, bring back comments section on each individual episode page, etc), then up-vote that post!
I personally hate the new player and miss the individual episode page comments. This former community now feels like a faceless corporation. Having discus comments on the main page does is entirely inadequate.

Now they only link directly to a ~player?? But whatever for?? 🤔
Because not only were the ~waterfall cmts in the episode itself useful but so too was the ~Disqus comment section (where we could post ~links! & GiFs! & other fun interactive stuff pertaining to each ep whenever) & the entire *informative* episode page itself including certain ep-specific summaries, as well as the links to all the other episodes in the sidebar && the cast listing under the episode & series summary.. come on!! Who is responsible for this messy (& wholly unnecessarily minimalistic) makeover? ;( 😰
I agree with simbiana, the minamilistic makeover is terrible! We have also lost the learning subtitles. So much for Viki being a website where we could learn a language. Sure we can hear the language, but without seeing it written out, we may be mishearing words and certainly can't see the grammatical relationships between words.
