Option of deleting more messages in inbox at the same time

My inbox is so filled I have given up on deleting old messages, because I have to delete every message individually, through many steps (choose the message - choose to delete it - confirm you want to delete it).

It would be very helpful if I could delete a bunch of messages at the same time. It feels overwhelming seeing that I have 99+ messages.
