Error Viki on Amazon FireStick

I can't access the Viki app on my Amazon Firestick...it's not the firestick because all of the other apps are working. When I try to access Viki, it says "Error connecting to server, please check your network connection and try again"

    I’m sorry that you're experiencing issues with Viki on your Fire TV Device.

    To make sure this is not an app problem can you please try the following?

    1. Log out from your account
    2. Uninstall and reinstall the Viki app from your device.
    3. Turn your device off and on again.
    4. Log back in to your Viki account by following the steps here.

    Are you still having the same issues with the Viki app? If so, can you please provide the following information?

    1. Your Amazon Fire TV device model/version (Refer to this page for a reference list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201640900)
    2. A screenshot/picture of the error message or issue.

    I'm having the same issue. Also on the fire stick. I uninstalled it and I'm about to reinstall and see what happens.

    If you are still having the same issues after reinstallation, please provide the following information:

    1. Your Amazon Fire TV device model/version (Refer to this page for a reference list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201640900)
    2. Your Viki app version (On the app, Left Side Bar > Settings > About Viki)
    3. A screenshot/picture of the error message or issue.

    Hello I too am having this same issue on Amazon Fire stick. I would like to know if Rakuten Viki is still supported on Amazon Firestick TV. I have restarted my TV and I have uninstalled the app but unfortunately, I cannot reinstall it. It no longer appears in my search history. What can I do now? I have the service on my laptop but I would like it on my TV for a bigger audience like friends visiting. Please let me know if this service is no longer available for Amazon TV.

    We're sorry to hear that you experienced these issues!

    We are no longer supporting Viki app versions older than 2.5.0 on Fire TV from Jan 25th, 2021. You can learn more about this here.

    If you’re facing issues downloading the latest version, please try these steps below:

    • Ensure that your streaming/TV device has sufficient memory/storage space
    • Make sure your OS is updated to the latest version
    • Manually uninstall the current app version and reinstall the latest version from the app store. Learn how to update your Viki app on Android TV or Fire TV here.

    If you’re still unable to download the latest version of the app, it is most likely because your device has an Operating System (OS) version of Android that’s incompatible with Viki. If that is the case, you can continue watching Viki from other compatible devices and from our website. You can see all of our supported apps here: Viki.com/apps

    I am experiencing the same problem.  I don't understand how to fix the problem, so I will probably not continue with this app and will cancel my subscription at the end of the month.

    I uninstalled it and now I can not find it on the fire stick even when I searched it I couldn’t find it

    Thanks for writing in to us. 

    1. Please ensure that your Fire TV device is able to support Fire OS 6 onwards.
    2. Learn how to update or download the Viki app on Fire TV devices here. 

    If you're still not able to find the Viki app on your Amazon App Store, please share with us the following:

    • Your Amazon Fire TV device model/version (Refer to this page for a reference list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201640900)
    • The device OS (You can see your version of Fire OS by going to Settings > Device > Fire TV and looking at the "Software Version" details)
    • A photo of he search results on your Amazon App Store

    Thanks for writing to us. 

    We no longer support Viki app versions older than 2.5.0 on Fire TV from Jan 25th, 2021. 

    Based on your screenshots provided, it seems that your device is on Fire OS 5.2.8.4. In order to download the latest Viki app version 2.19.1 on your Fire TV device, your device needs to be able to support Fire OS 6 onwards.

    If your device is not able to support Fire OS 6 onwards, you can still continue watching Viki from other compatible devices and from our website. You can see all of our supported apps here: Viki.com/apps
