[Closed] Upgrade problem

Hello,

 

I want to upgrade my Viki, but it won't let me start my Pass Plus until August 2021. :( Can you please help?

    Hi there,

    Thank you for writing to us and your interest in upgrading your Viki Pass plan.

    We looked up your account and see that you are currently subscribed to an annual Viki Pass Standard subscription and that you're trying to change to the monthly Viki Pass Plus plan.

    As this is a lower-priced plan, the change will only take effect at the end of your current billing period. 

    To upgrade your subscription with immediate effect, please select the annual Viki Pass Plus option. The upgrade will occur immediately.

    Also, when you upgrade your subscription, your upgrade will be prorated. For more information on how proration works, please refer to this FAQ.

  • Hi!

    I have the same problem but my Plan is Annual Basic and I want to improve it to Plus Monthly but then I read the legend that I cannot, until June 2021 -when my current subscription ends-. This is not practical for users because we want to watch the Episodes now, not next year. 

    I think that the advertisement "Want to keep watching, upgrade your plan now!" is not true at all, because we cannot watch them right at the moment we make the upgrade. 

    I already paid for the Anual Basic Plan, I have no problem to lose that amount of money I already paid in full. I want to improve my plan to Monthly Plus and see the benefits right now.

    Can you help us, please?

    Similarly, as Viki Pass Plus Monthly is a lower monthly plan (as compared to an annual plan you are currently on), the change will only take effect at the end of your current billing period. 

    To upgrade your subscription with immediate effect, please select the annual Viki Pass Plus option. The upgrade will occur immediately.

    Also, when you upgrade your subscription, your upgrade will be prorated. For more information on how proration works, please refer to this FAQ.

  • Hi, I'm having the same exact problem and it's honestly really inconvenient. Is there a way to delete that basic anual plan and purchase the monthly pass plus? I'm not going to pay 100 dollars just to see 1 show. Fix this.

    We're sorry to say that is currently not possible due to how our payment system works. 

    To upgrade your subscription with immediate effect, please select the annual Viki Pass Plus option. The upgrade will occur immediately. 

    Alternatively, you can select the monthly upgrade now but wait till your current Basic Annual plan has ended before the change is made.

  • Selecting the "Annual" option still reflected an August start date for the upgrade.  So your guidance does not seem to work.  I put in a ticket and have seen no response.  Can you provide additional information on how to upgrade immediately from Standard to Plus, without paying another 100 dollars?

    As your subscription is made through Google Play Store, the plan change process is slightly different. You will receive your new plan benefits immediately but will be charged the full amount of the new plan only after the end of your leftover credit period.

    More details has also been sent to your ticket via the Help Center.
