[Closed] Commercials Keep Freezing, Won’t Play Episodes

I’m watching on an Alexa and was finally getting back into k-dramas. It’s been almost two weeks now of ad-freeze. I might make it through the first ad, but it will freeze in the second and never play the episode. The one time I got it to play was two days ago and it started the wrong episode and started replaying one previous to where I’m at. I’ve tried redownloading and refreshing even though that takes forever, but to no avail. I’m getting pretty cheeses off. This app is the only one that does this for me and I just want to watch some k-drama.

    We're aware that some users are experiencing ad-freezing issues on their Fire TV devices.

    Can you help to please provide the following information to assist with our troubleshooting:

    1. Does this freeze occur on all shows you watch? Please also provide some example movies or episodes with this issue. (Eg. Hotel Del Luna Ep 3)
    2. Can you name or describe the ad(s) that caused the freeze?
    3. A screenshot/photo of the ad or ads that are causing this issue. Please let us know if it's multiple ads and what episode you were watching when it happened.
    4. Your Amazon Fire TV device model/version (Refer to this page for a reference list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201640900)
    5. Your Viki app version (On the app, Left Side Bar > Settings > About Viki)

    I'm watching "Train" right now and from the beginning, the show freezes at the end of the last commercial, and the show keeps running behind the commercials.  Also, the advertisement bar for the paid subscription then remains at the bottom of the screen sitting over all of the controls.  The only thing you can do is refresh the show, but then it starts over prior to the commercials and repeats the same annoying problem.  Can't get past the one commercial break.

    I've noticed more and more annoying issues in several shows with the free subscription.  I think they are trying to force us to pay for a subscription to eliminate the commercial freezes.  Viki is beginning to really suck.

    We're aware of this ad issue on Fire TV, and our team is working on it.

    Do follow this post for updates as this duplicate topic would be closed.

    As we're not able to provide an estimated date for the fix now, we also suggest watching on other devices or using a HDMI cable to the TV.
