[Closed] Amazon Firestick Viki App Subtitles Stopped Working

Amazon Firestick Viki App English subtitles were working fine on all shows Tuesday night, 7 July 2020. On Wednesday night, 8 July 2020, all subtitles stopped working on all shows.

(1) How to fix this problem?

(2) Did Viki do an update?

(3) How do I update the Viki App?

    I’m sorry that you're experiencing issues with Viki on your Fire TV Device.

    To make sure this is not an app problem can you please try the following?

    1. Log out from your account
    2. Uninstall and reinstall the Viki app from your device.
    3. Turn your device off and on again.
    4. Log back in to your Viki account by following the steps here.
    5. Please do check that your subtitle display is turned on under Settings. If you are unable to turn on your subtitles, please ensure that Learn Mode is turned off. 

    Are you still having the same issues with the Viki app? If so, can you please provide the following information?

    1. Your Amazon Fire TV device model/version (Refer to this page for a reference list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201640900)
    2. Your Viki app version (On the app, Left Side Bar > Settings > About Viki)
    3. List some example episodes with this issue.
    4. A screenshot, or photo of your subtitle settings.
