We're aware of the rewinding/forwarding issue that causes videos to freeze on Fire TV. There is an existing thread on the forums where we will provide updates.
Could you also let us know if the freeze occurs even when you do not rewind or forward?

Having the same issue especially when i try to fast forward or go back to a a spot in the video.
