[Solved] New version is buggie

The new download has tons of bugs.  You can't rewind for more than 30 seconds or the video won't load.  After 30 seconds, it takes about 10 minutes to reset VIKI.  The video failed to load is present when you go back to play.  I do not recommend anyone download the latest version.  I love VIKI so for it not to work during this time is upsetting.

 

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE LATEST UPDATE FOR VIKI.  UNTIL THEY RELEASE A FIX.

    If it's another device, please let us know:

    1. What device you're currently experiencing issues with?
    2. What is the Operating System of this device or computer?

    4. A screenshot of the issue or any error messages you might see.

  • I am using a TV app that I downloaded from my fire stick.  The app version is 2.4.3.

    Failed to load is the error message.

    Could you also let us know the specific show titles with this issue? If this issue occurs for all titles you are watching, please also list some examples so we may try to replicate it on our end.

  • Já tem o mesmo problema: O novo download tem muitos bugs. Você não pode recuperar por mais de 30 segundos ou o vídeo não será carregado. Após 30 segundos, leva cerca de 10 minutos para redefinir o VIKI. O vídeo que falhou ao carregar está presente quando você volta a reproduzir. Eu não recomendo que ninguém baixe uma versão mais recente. Eu amo VIKI, por isso não funciona durante esse tempo é perturbador.

    Na versão antiga conseguiu assistir a todos os vídeos. Agora não é possível assistir a nenhum vídeo de Kocowa, isso é frustrante porque sou assinante há mais de um ano. Por favor, disponibilize uma versão anterior até que essa nova versão seja corrigida!

  • Downloaded the latest version for Viki app on my firestick and same issue. Cannot rewind or fast forward without getting "video failed to load" on any show trying to watch. Also when searching the catalog of shows or movies once you click on a show to get the description when you go back to the catalog it takes you back all the way beginning of the catalog instead of where you left off. Love the app but the failed video is becoming an issue.

  • I also noticed that when browsing the catalog takes you back to the beginning.  I thought this was a new feature that I didn't like but now that you mentioned this, I hope this is an issue as well.  Please fix this and put this functionality back to the way it was.

  • Same problems. All videos stopped loading correctly after New app update. Cannot far forward or rewind without getting 'video Failed to load'error. Watching on fire stick tv. Viki app version 2.4.3.

  • You can get to the catalog by using the left navigation and go to TV.

  • The issue can occur when you open anything after the options above.  Try to go a few shows after this, open the show and then go back.  The catalog will reset to the beginning.

  • On the off chance this helps anyone else - on my Amazon FireTV all of my videos were coming up "video failed to load" this evening (the day after i downloaded the app). I uninstalled and reinstalled Viki several times and nothing happened but then I tried to watch a YouTube video and saw that just no video at all was working. My TV was updated about a half hour ago and I did a reset and now everything's working!

  • Anyone know what's the status of this situation? Because the video still fails to load after fast forwarding. 

    This is after updating, is there any way to just downgrade back to the previous version?

  • I download the new version and the issue is still happening. The catalog still jumps to the beginning and you can’t rewind an episode for more than a few minutes or the video will not play.

    New issue to report... all Generes in the TV section is empty.
