[Closed] I have Viki Pass Plus but am now getting commercials when I use my Roku stick

2 months ago I purchased a Roku stick and successfully installed it with my TV.  It is a model 3810R- better than the basic stick because I wanted good WiFi reception.  I successfully linked my Roku to my Viki account and was able to watch some very good shows like HOTEL DEL LUNA, GRACEFUL FAMILY, etc on my TV commercial free.

3 days ago I was starting to watch the second episode of FIVE ENOUGH, after watching a the first episode (commercial free) the night before and suddenly I am getting a load of commercials.  I tried a couple of other shows and it kept happening.

When I watch the same shows using my PC- no commercials. 

Why did this start happening and what can I do about it?

  • I have had Viki for a while now, all of a sudden I am getting commercials

    What do I need to do to correct this.

    I looked up your details and it appears that you're getting Viki Pass benefits whenever you are logged in with this email address.

    If you still can't see subscription benefits, I recommend taking the following steps:

    1. Log out from your Viki account
    2. Log back in to Viki.

    If that doesn't fix the problem, please let me know and I'll be glad to help. Be sure to send me full-monitor screenshots of any of the issues you see so I can further escalate it to our engineers.

  • I have tried logging out of Viki and then logging back in.  The same thing still happens:  I can watch even Kocowa shows commercial free when I am streaming through my PC but when I try to watch on TV with my Roku stick I get commercials (and Kocowa episodes are locked after the first two episodes) it is as if I do not have a subscription at all when I try to use my Roku stick.

  • Having the same problem, signed up for Viki Plus signed out and back in, still seeing commercials when I log in my e-mail on TV?  Please advise.  Enjoy your site and signed up for paying plus just to not have the commercials.  Thanks
