[Closed] Episodes to series that loaded and played before will not load and play a 2nd time

Episodes for Master's Sun (and in fact previous shows I watched) will not reload for a second viewing.  The circular loading icon just keeps going round and round (gave it about 15 minutes).  I'm using FireFox on Windows system.  I tried logging on two separate PC's, both Windows and Firefox.  I also tried clearing the cache on the PC and History on the Viki website thinking that I could attempt to have my account think this is the first time I'm watching it.  That did not solve the problem. I also waited a week and tried again.  No change. I'm trying to determine whether the issue is on my end or Viki's end.  Not sure what else I can try.  But I would like to re-visit some of these series and see no reason why I should not be able to.  FYI: series I'm watching for the first time play just fine. Thoughts?  Thanks.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in to us.

    This could likely be the case of your Firefox browser not playing DRM content.

    The easier option to resolve this is to download another browser like Chrome to watch those shows on Viki. 

    However, if you would like to troubleshoot your Firefox browser, please follow these steps while on your browser:

    • Enable DRM
      1. Click the menu button and choose Preferences.
      2. In the General panel, go to the Digital Rights Management (DRM) Content section.
      3. Select the check mark next to Play DRM-controlled content.
    • Ensure that required ad-ons are activated
      1. Click the menu button, click Add-ons and select Plugins.
      2. Select 'Always Activate' on the menu next to Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc.

    Thank you for the response. DRM was checked and the Widevine Content was 'Always Activate'.  As indicated, I can watch series for the first time on VIKI; but when I go back to re-watch they will not load.  The circular loading icon continues to go round and round.  I haven't seen anyone else with this problem.  Can anyone logic this out?  Note, as stated above, I cleared the cache on my computer and the viewing history on VIKI.

    Is there anything regarding VIKI that won't let you re-watch a program?  Master's Sun, Girl Who Can See Smells, I cannot re-watch.  Interestingly, I never watched the trailers to those shows, and I tried that and I CAN watch the trailers.  Wonder if it'll let me watch the trailers for a second time?!!

    Hi guy7_8,

    Apologies for the delayed reply.

    Some shows may be unavailable for viewing after their license has expired. However, you should see the error message “Sorry, this video is not available in your region” displayed for those titles. For more details, please see this. 

    However, that is not the case for those titles you have mentioned thus it is likely a browser issue. 

    Could you try to download another browser like Chrome to watch those shows on Viki? Do let us know if this works for you.
