[Solved] Why does some Titles take longer for Engish subtitles to appear?
I understand that that the that all the shows subtitles are all community volunteer based. Some shows take only a few days.
I've been patience for the past year as a Viki subscriber on all the content I watch.
However, this is the first time I had to say something about it now.
I understand that it takes time for subtitles to be processed. That's why I watched other Chinese shows that are "On Air" and I know there is not that many that need to be subtitled.
I've been watching, "The King of Blaze." I notice for the past two weeks barely 1 episode was translated for English. There are 10 episodes now with less that 10% and 1 episode at 57%.
What's going on????

Hi cooldog744,
Translation speed depends on multiple factors, such as the following:
As this is the holiday season, many people, including volunteers, are away on vacation.
Some videos are harder to translate than others. King of Blaze, being a fantasy drama, set in historical times, uses more complex and archaic language. As such, it requires a great deal more effort from our volunteers to translate these abstruse terminologies and expressions.
King of Blaze airs 2 episodes from Monday to Thursday, which would mean 8 episodes per week, and each episode running 45 minutes.
Sorry that it's taking longer than normal for subtitles to be completed for The King of Blaze, but we would like to ask for your kind understanding as the volunteers are doing their best to translate the show to translate the show as soon as possible.
What I can suggest is for you to Follow The King of Blaze to get mobile notifications from the Viki mobile app when subtitles are completed. For more details on how to do this, please refer to this FAQ.
Best,
Kristie
