    Hey jtc_5,

Thanks for letting us know about this. I've alerted the engineers and they're looking into it.

We are currently working on building a new Roku app and we hope to include the fix for this issue in the new app.
    Roku App Status for 2018

I'm really sorry about the current inconvenience.

    Cheers,

    Hi jtc_5,

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we worked hard on the Roku Beta app.

We've built this app from scratch to fundamentally address the issues that were affecting our old Roku app, and, most importantly, provide you with the best user experience.

The new Roku Beta app is now available. To learn how to download and install the app, click here.

Feel free to let us know about your experience and any feedback you might have regarding the Beta app.

    Best,
    Kristie

    Hello Kristie,

My original complaint was that when I hit pause using Roku 3, I had to wait several seconds before the subtitles appeared.  I actually got used to the delays and was still able to enjoy shows on Viki.

I installed the Beta app as instructed above, found it unwatchable, and returned to the original channel.

You just updated the original channel with what was the Beta and now that is unwatchable.

When I hit pause once, a dark shadow covers the screen.  The picture is still visible, but just barely, and the show continues to play. The subtitles are still there, but "Press * to change subtitle language" is written over the subtitles and they cannot be read.

Hit pause again, and the show actually pauses, but with the same dark screen and obscured subtitles.

Hit pause again, and the show starts to play, but it takes 5 seconds for the dark screen to disappear and return to normal.

Hit instant replay and the dark shadow appears, the show rewinds, but does not replay.  Hit play and it again takes about 5 seconds to return to normal.

Your team cannot be seeing the same thing that I am, or this could not have been released.

Do they have any idea what is happening and how to correct it?  What version of Roku did you use in your testing? Is there any way that I can access the original channel until these problems are resolved?

I watch Viki just about every night, but I will have to switch to Dramafever until this is resolved.

    Best regards,

    Joseph
