Viki wont play on chromecast. It has happened in the past but would finally play. Not l constantly get the little white dot at beginning of movie time line instead of blue dot. Please fix this it drives me crazy.

    Hello All,

    I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with Chromecast.

    To make sure this is not an app issue can you please try the following?

    1. Log out from your account
    2. If you're on an Android device, clean the cache and cookies on your device
    3. If you're on a mobile device, uninstall and reinstall both the Viki and Google Home app on your device. Then turn your mobile device off and on again.
    4. Reboot your Chromecast device from the Google Home app
    5. Turn off your internet router, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
    6. Make sure Chromecast is connected to the same Wifi network as your device. Also do note that they are either on the same 2.4GHz or 5GHz wifi network.
    7. Log back in to your Viki account and try casting again.


    Are you still having the same issues with the Viki app and Chromecast? If so, can you please provide the following information?

    • The model and OS version of your device.
    • Does this occur on all shows? If not, please let me know the specific shows and episodes you're having problems with (ex. "Chicago Typewriter" Episode 2)
    • A screenshot or short video of the error message or issue.
    • The model number of your Chromecast device.
