I can't chromecast

Why do I have problems to chromecast from my phone to TV.? And I paid the most expensive Viki pass

    Hello both,

    We're sorry to read you're experiencing these issues with Chromecast.

    To make sure this is not an app issue can you please try the following?

    1. Log out from your account
    2. If you're on an Android device, clean the cache and cookies on your device
    3. If you're on a mobile device, uninstall and reinstall both the Viki and Google Home app on your device. Then turn your mobile device off and on again.
    4. Reboot your Chromecast device from the Google Home app
    5. Turn off your internet router, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
    6. Make sure Chromecast is connected to the same Wifi network as your device. Also do note that they are either on the same 2.4GHz or 5GHz wifi network.
    7. Log back in to your Viki account and try casting again.

    Are you still having the same issues with the Viki app and Chromecast? If so, can you please provide the following information?

    • An exact description of the problem you're experiencing. Is there an error message shown?
    • The model and OS version of your device.
    • What Viki app version are you using? You may find it under the app Settings. 
    • Your Chromecast model and firmware version (For steps to check firmware version, refer to the bottom of this page)
    • A screenshot of the error message or issue.
    • What are the specific shows with this issue you are trying to Chromecast?

  • Same here... well, at least something similar is happening to me. 

    Whenever I try to use Google Chromecast from the Viki App on my phone, nothing happens on my TV.

    However, I am able to use the Google Chromecast feature on my laptop (casting from my laptop to the TV).

  • Certain devices work,  others don't.  Rebooting router,  reinstalling apps that was all a waste of time.
