[SOLVED] Continue Watching not updating on Viki app
I noticed that recently my "Continue Watching" queue doesn't update. This is a problem at every devices on my account (web, tv app, phone app). I've tried closing the app and reboot but doesn't seem to help. There's no watch history either so it sometimes hard to know where you left off if you're watching multiple shows.
Does anyone else had this problem before and know how to fix it?

Still having this issue. I follow 4 or 5 series at the same time and it is very frustrating.
For me it got a little bit better. It shows that blue line again for the episodes i have watched but my "continue watching" list still doesn't update
On my side it seems that the 'continue watching' section has caught up to an episode of a serie I watched earlier in the week but it is still not able to catch to where I am currently at. It all seems a little random.
vvrose I am having the same problems. It's working but still not really fixed. All we can really do is be patient and hope the progress can be speed up even more. I'm truly patient, but if nothing is ever to the point it needs to be fixed, I will likely cancel my subscription!
Just want to add I'm having the same issue. I see you're working on it, so thanks. Also, I'm really glad you have a place like this where I can check and find that the issue is being worked on. I really enjoy Rakuten Viki and consider it well worth my subscription fee.
Sorry to complain more, but the situation has got worse with the last IOS update. Prior to that I ‘worked around’ this issue by ‘following’ the show to make it easier to find the ones I was watching. Now with the latest update I can’t see how to do this easily. I also can’t unfollow easily either. Maybe I am being dense, but, whereas before the switch to follow was fairly obvious, now I really cannot work it out on my iPad.
I really hope this gets fixed soon, it is becoming really frustrating. Thanks.
You can find “following” by first tapping the profile (head) icon. This works in Safari and also the Viki app.
This morning, on my AppleTV app, I noticed that the Continue Watching seems to be picking up exactly where I left off again. So perhaps they are beginning to roll out fixes.

@gale61095-160 I can find Following no problem, but can’t add new shows. When I open up the home screen for a show, I have the options to add to Watchlist or Collection, to Share, or to add to Siri. I am thinking of using Siri to get round this problem. My watchlist is still not updating.
I'm also having problems with watchlist not updating, but am relieved to know that it's not my TV or Roku that is the problem. For now, I just make a note which drama I'm watching, what episode I'm on, and how many minutes I'm into it. Hopefully they will get this issue fixed soon.
I do appreciate the fact that RakutenViki.com did fix another problem that bothered me for a long time, and that was that there were over 60 dramas and movies that I had on my list that had all became restricted, and I couldn't delete them. I complained, and though it took some time, they did fix the problem and took them off. I love this channel, and I just want to say Thank You!
I am also having troubles with this still
I hope I am not speaking too soon, but my Watchlist problem seems to be resolved. As I watch each drama, they are being added to the Watchlist. So fingers crossed that this is fixed!
Mine was working earlier today, but this evening it started acting up again...Hope this gets resolved soon...IMO Viki is the best place to watch all my favorite shows...Thanks
The same for me my continue watching only has one drama and I tried to see if other dramas will show but they didn’t so please get it fixed soon.
28/07/2021 Based in Brisbane Australia. Still having problems with continue watching. Not saving series that I’m watching as well as not updating the episode so I have to try and remember what I’m watching and what episode I’m up to. Can you please fix this. Do we need to remove some form the list. Absolutely love Viki. How do we see others that are not available in my country.

Based on my experience in the USA Viki will never get this right for long. I’ve never seen this be a protracted problem for any other streaming service.
I began having this issue two days ago. Signing out and back in doesn't work. It doesn't matter what device I'm using the drama I am watching will not appear in my continue watching (I have tried the app on both my TV and phone, and also my desktop and it hasn't worked).
I have been having this problem I would say for about a month now. It won't update my continued watching and also won't save what part of the episode I left off. It is a real pain to search the drama I am watching every time I go on and then figure out what episode I was on and where I was in the episode.
Web version of Viki on Desktop -- I am having this issue as well. It is a deal breaker for me. Thinking of canceling. This is a very basic feature for a streaming service. Works better on Android app than it does on Desktop which is kind of frustrating if you want to use your laptop to watch, not stuck on small android phone.
My continue watching has been acting up once again!

Our engineers have gotten back to us and the issue with Continue Watching/Watch Markers should have improvements made for most users.
If you are still facing the same issues, please try these first:
Do kindly note that Continue Watching/Watch Markers usually take within 15-30 mins before it is updated. Dramas/movies must have also been played for at least one minute.

Im still having the issues after trying to log out and in again.
1. My username is gh0stedz
2. I have multiple shows that won't update like blue birthday, graceful family, penthouse and all the other shows I started watching after this issue appeard.
3. I watched graceful family yesterday 14/08/2021 and blue birthday today 15/08/2021 at maybe 16:25 (german time).
4. I do have the mobile app even tho I just watch it on my pc (opera browser) but yes I also have the same issue on the mobile app.

I'm also suffering this issue for about 2 weeks now. I tried the recommended suggestions and the issues still persisted. I've been using sticky notes to keep track of my progress, till your team is able to fix the issue. Not sure if the information will help but I'll provide it like everyone else has been.
1. My username is malummae
2. I've had several shows not updating, and a movie that also didn't update. Some of the shows were Love O2O, Three Lives, Three Worlds: The Pillow Book, the movie being Almost Human. As well as all my markers from prior on shows I took a break from are all gone, and stuck on the start of the last episode I watched. Those series being Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace, Miss the Dragon, Legend of Nine Tails Fox, Mr. Queen, Story of Yanxi Palace. One exception is Fights Breaks Sphere that actually booted my progress all the way to the start of the very first episode... so I can't even access where I was or remember off hand. And when I try and find it, it resets my progress to the start.
3. I watched Three Lives, Three Worlds: The Pillow Book daily for the last week, an ep or so each day. I just finished 2 eps from around 12am-2:07 am CST 8/19/2021 (USA)
4. I have the mobile app, but for the last week I've been watching from my pc (firefox browser) The mobile app also has the same issue.

Edit update 8/23/21: Today some of my shows started saving their progress again. I haven't seen if the progress stays fully. But I was able to leave then return later to find it was at my new current episode and timestamp. So it looks like there has been progress. Thank you for your hard work! I'll update again if the issue is fully solved in a few days.

Apologies same problem here. Funny thing is, I accidentally clicked on "Falling Into Your Smile" to show my friend the picture on my APP and the watching history stuck but as for the rest that I have watched/watching, there is still a problem. Help:
