[Closed] Getting the "Something Went Wrong" message on every drama

I cant seem to play any dramas. Everytime i try, new or old dramas, I get hit with this error:

Oh no! Something went wrong.

Please try refreshing this page. If the problem persists, check out the Viki Status page.

 

I am using Google Chrome on PC and my Chrome is up to date with Version 88.0.4324.182

    Thanks for your patience while our team was looking into this issue.

    Do also try to update Widevine CDM to the latest version on your web browser. This is essential for smooth video playback, particularly DRM content.

    You can refer to our FAQ for the instructions, and this link for more details.

    If the issue still occurs after, please let us know the browser version and operating system you're using. You can find the info here.

    To make sure this is not a browser issue can you please try the following?

    1. Restart your home internet network. For more details - Helpful steps to troubleshoot video issues
    2. Log out from your account
    3. Clean the cache and cookies on your browser. - How do I clear the cache and cookies on my web browser?
    4. Ensure your browser is up to date.
    5. Close the browser and restart it again.
    6. Check that you have Protected Content enabled on your browser. [Settings > Privacy and Security > Site settings > Scroll down to 'Protected Content' and toggle the switch to allow sites]
    7. Log back into your Viki account
    8. Try again from another browser (eg. Microsoft Edge/Firefox)

    Are you still experiencing these issues with the video player? If so, can you please provide the following information?

    • To check that it's not a device issue - does the same issue occur on your other browsers (eg. Firefox/Edge)?
    • To check that it's not a connection issue - does the same issue occur while you are connecting to another internet network or mobile data?
    • Are you able to play any episodes from this show - Imaginary Cat ?

    I have this same problem. I have tried all of those steps. It works on my safari but not my chrome. It's been like this for over a week. 

    I have been watching it on safari but I would also like to see if I can get it back to working on chrome. I can browse the viki site fine on chrome but when I go to play a video it says "oh no! something went wrong... please try refreshing the page". No matter how many times I refresh it does not work.

  • I am also facing the same issue, please help it's been weeks now. I tried to play other dramas it still says the same this.

  • I am getting this too and I have reloaded many times. It's a bit frustrating because I only watch dramas on chrome. If you soon find a fix to this please let me know.

  • I am also having this issue. I've done all of the steps above but I keep getting the oh, no pop up. I am a bit frustrated because I just got premium yesterday. It works on my phone but not on anything else regardless of the browser I am using. Please fix this soon thanks.
