[Closed] Subtitles not visible on 2 Rokus

It seems as though in new episodes of various shows, while it says that English subtitles are 100% or 99%, the subtitles are not showing up on the screen. This is across two roku's and two TVs.

  • Same issue.  Have tried to fix, reset, reboot, etc.  Nothing works fixing it.

  • I just tried this and it fixed the issue:

    Once video starts to play, on your remote press the asterisk button.  

    The video will pause.  Choose the 2nd subtitles for English version.  (In the options for language).  The 1st one seemed to not be working for some reason and when I chose the 2nd one, voila!  It worked.
