[Closed] Scroll bar issues

As soon as I try to watch a video, any video, the scroll bar on the side disappears and I can't scroll to make the video full screen or adjust the volume. Is there some way to fix this?

  • Hey emstar,

May I know if the scroll bar you're referring to is the video progress bar as depicted in the picture below?

Could you take a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Also, it'd be useful to know your web browser version and computer OS. You can find this here. You’ll get a link with all the information we need. Please share this link with us.

I have this issue frequently. It comes and goes, I don't know why. (Chrome browser, Windows 10)  It is the scroll bar on the far right (see screenshot below). When it happens, that scroll bar does not load. And the video is so big that the controls and subtitles are out of sight below. The only work-around I have found is to click on "Show Timed Comments", then it makes the video small enough that I can click on the "full-screen", then I hide the timed comments.

  • Hey ladysaotome,

Thanks so much for the screenshot and detailed information.

After consulting with our engineer, we have come up with possible reasons why you might be experiencing this.

    1. The video player might not be optimized for your monitor size.
To check whether this is the case, may I know your monitor size?
    2. It might be due to your browser/computer zoom settings
Check your computer's and browser's zoom settings. More information on changing zoom settings on Chrome and on Windows.
    3. It might be due to a particular setting on your Chrome browser
Please try watching on another browser (ex. Firefox, Opera, Edge) to see if you're still experiencing problems on other browsers.

Let me know how it goes!
