Project Finder is a vital tool for segmenters on Viki to find projects to complete. This tool will allow you to search for different Viki shows & movies with teams looking for help from contributors like yourself.
The following steps should be used to find channels that you can contribute subtitles on. Please note that you must be signed-in to Viki to access the Project Finder.
Step 1
Open the Project Finder by clicking the "Project Finder" link at the top of your contributor dashboard.
Step 2
Select "I want to be a Segmenter" at the top.
Step 3
Select the first dropdown menu (towards the left) to select a specific genre of channels with teams that are recruiting segmenters. Please note that the most options appear when "All genres" is selected.
Example: Selecting "Horror" would display only teams recruiting on Horror channels.
Step 4
The second dropdown menu (towards the right) is to filter content by its original geographic region. Please note that the most options appear when "All places of origin" is selected.
Example: Selecting “Thailand” would display only teams recruiting content originating from Thailand.
Step 5
Click on the "Search" button.
Step 6
Once you have decided upon a channel to apply for, select the “Apply” button underneath it.
Step 7
Write a short introduction about yourself on the application that pops-up. Include any information that would help the team member understand your skills + passion.
Step 8
Provide information about your availability. This helps the team learn when they can lean on your support.
Step 9
Adjust the timezone to ensure that all team members are aware of your availability. Communication is key!
Step 10
Go over your application one more time and then submit it by clicking the “Apply” button.
Step 11
Congratulations!! You have successfully applied for segmenting positions for teams on Viki!
