We’re currently in the process of developing a brand new Viki app for the Roku device. We’re building this app from scratch to fundamentally address the issues affecting the current Viki Roku app and provide you with the best user experience. Our hope is to have this app available in Q2 (April - June 2018).
Why don’t you fix the old app while you build the new one?
Due to resource constraints, we were forced to make a drastic decision that will lead to a better and more stable app within a shorter time-frame. Drawing from this painful experience, we’re now shifting the app development in-house and we’ll be able to better manage issues.
What if I’m having issues with current Viki app on Roku?
Support for the current Viki app on Roku has already stopped until the release of the new app. This means that any issue with this Roku app version will not be handled or fixed for the time being.
If you’re not able to watch on Roku anymore, we have other TV app options.
Alternatively, you can also enjoy Viki from the desktop, tablet or mobile phone at no extra cost. You will also get to enjoy additional features like Timed Comments not found on Roku.
