[On-hold] Continue Watching not updating on Viki app

I noticed that recently my "Continue Watching" queue doesn't update. This is a problem at every devices on my account (web, tv app, phone app). I've tried closing the app and reboot but doesn't seem to help. There's no watch history either so it sometimes hard to know where you left off if you're watching multiple shows. 

Does anyone else had this problem before and know how to fix it?

  • For me the continue watching thing has disappeared completely also two weeks ago on all my devices (computer, phone, tablet and smart tv). Of course i did all the suggested things, still not appearing. Quite annoying, because it started once I started my subscription ....

    If you have other devices, do you see the same watched activity missing? - Yes, the option is completely gone on all my devices. Smart TV, tablet, phone etc.

    Shows: Search WWW, Black Dog, Pinocchio, Shining Inheritance - all watched today.

    Devices: (Roku) TV, (Roku) device on 2nd TV, iPad mini 

    This problem of not updating on Continue Watching started yesterday after I had to sign into Viki on the (Roku) TV.

  • update: jang bori has appeared in my watch list, but jirisan, which I just started watching (ep2) Is not listed.

  • Yeah, since yesterday the issue started for me again.

     

    I was watching So I Married the Anti Fan Ep 12 and 13 and it did not update since yesterday.

  • hello unfortunately this problem is happening again, i think it started yesterday for me. I'm not sure what exactly is going on or how to fix it

    i did disable my AdBlock and everything but now on the mobile app for Android it's not updating the watch history

    i did update the app and all but it's not working I've uninstalled and logged in multiple times ??

    There's a temporary issue with Continue Watching and watch markers updating. Our team is working on resolving it as soon as possible, so it should clear up within a day or so.

  • Me to, I just discovered Viki yesterday and already subscribed, continue watching is not showing up on my android tv app or in browser on PC even after watching some episodes. Tried everything written above.

  • This has been happening for me too for the last couple of weeks. Mostly watching in browser and nothing gets saved there. Also not syncing with other devices. When I watch on my iPad it gets saved on my iPad though. Tried clearing the cache and cookies. Also relogged. Doesn't work.

    2. The Now we are breaking up Episode 8.  there is no continuing wash bar and it hasn't been there form months. Tried the steps in the top of this post recommended by support and it did not work. i cleared all my cookies and cache.
    3. The date & time of that last watched activity: December 6th 2021 at 12:00am 
    4. If you have other devices, do you see the same watched activity missing? yes, continue watching does not exist on the viki app on my iphone. i am not able to access continue watching either on her, even though i followed the recommended fix it steps. i do not have ad blocker on my phone so that shouldn't be an issue in the app. Please resolve. thank you!

  • Gale61095_160 Continue Watching is no longer updating for She Was Pretty, Jirisan, I Hear Your Voice, & Welcome to Waikiki on 2 Roku devices and an iPad. It is weird that your fixes only work well for a month or 2.

  • Having a permanent, undated banner declaring that you are working on the problem is not informative or helpful. Luckily the Watchlist does know where I’ve left off but that’s extra work too. Please date your banner and provide updates on fixes.

  • My watchlist has not been working for at least a month. Using a fire stick on Samsung TV. Plus samsung android phone also doesnt work.

  • I have done everything suggested, but “continue watching” is not working with Roku. It stopped suddenly weeks ago and deleting/reinstalling has done nothing. If I watch a show on my phone app, Chromebook app, or laptop, it will eventually reset on at least one of my Roku devices. But I have to do that between every episode.

  • @mazzyangel you don’t have the right to tell others to do whatsoever. My comment was clearly not to you but the company that I’m paying for their service and it is not acceptable that they can’t fix a problem for over several months! I was demanding my right to get the services that I deserve as a paying customer. All features should function correctly, that’s the expectation for any company. Are you from a different planet???

  • I am having this problem too, starting about a week ago. It's very annoying, in all the ways mentioned by others above.

    It's nice to know I'm not alone, but terrible to know that the engineering team have been "trying their best" since March but still need "more time" to find a solution.  

    I hope Viki will give a rebate to all paying subscribers in recognition of the fact that a major functionality of the site has not been working at all for a steadily increasing number of subscribers over the last four months.  Expressions of appreciation for our patience are a necessary minimum politeness from Viki, but really not helpful at this point.
